Hi I am Danielle, I am the Branch Manager at your local Harwood Branch. It is great to be back in the Harwood which I worked in when we first opened our doors here in 2014. I and the team will be here to help you with every aspect of moving offering support and advice every step of the way. I worked as a Customer Service Manager for 10 years but wanted a change and started working in the Estate Agency industry over 11 years ago for Halifax Estate Agents. I began my career as a Junior Negotiator progressing through different roles including that of a Senior Negotiator, Valuer and Branch Manager. I joined Miller Metcalfe at the start of 2014 and I am delighted to be part of the team. I have worked in different areas including Harwood, Bury, Bolton, Oldham and Worsley and feel very passionate about what I do and strive to offer the best possible service I can. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and when my football mad husband and son are not playing or watching football, we enjoy walking with our dog Mia!
Q & A
Do you have a catchphrase? If so, what is it?
My motto comes from my Husband and it’s “If you don’t like it change it!” And from what my Colleagues say “It is what it is!”
In your opinion, what sets miller Metcalfe apart from other estate agents.
Definitely the people and always working with different approaches to offer the best.
What do you want to achieve in the next 3 years?
I want to be successful in what I do and drive my Team to be the best at what we do.
Do you feel like you are learning at work? What are the new things you learned lately? What are the areas you want to learn about?
I am learning more about looking at the bigger picture and also ways to improve how I support my Team I am very strong willed and have learnt to take on other people’s approaches or ideas to things.
What is your greatest achievement in the estate agency industry?
I was so proud to be made the Branch Manager of Harwood and absolutely love the team and the challenges.
Was you on any sports teams when you was younger?
When I was younger I was always known as “The Runner” I spent all my childhood running for my local Athletics team and I was actually “The High Jumper”. I was naturally sporty and ended up on most of the teams, I suppose that is down to my massively competitive nature.
How do you balance work and social life?
I think this is always a struggle for any full time parent, but it is good to show your children that you have to work hard if you want nice things. As a family we make sure that any days we have together include family time try and make the most of the time you have with your family.
If you could have a coffee anywhere in the world, with someone of your choice, where would you go and who with?
I would love to go to the Seychells with my Husband David of Course! 😆
What’s the first thing you do when you get home?
Take my shoes off and then kiss my Son and Husband.
Are you part of any clubs? Sport or other?
Well I didn’t continue with my sporty upbringing so I joined Slimming World instead.
Best social media platform in your opinion?
Old Fashioned! Facebook, but I pop onto Instagram every now and again.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Alarm Clock, although I am an early bird anyway to the point where I changed all the clocks one Sunday morning just so that David would get up, he thought it was 10:00 but it was really 6:30. He wasn’t impressed 😂
Who inspires you in the team? Whose opinions do you respect? What have they done?
All my team inspire me in different ways and wouldn’t be able to pick just one person. With regards to opinions my Sisters opinion is always the most level headed one.
Do you get along with all other staff? Have you made any lasting friendships?
I would like to think that I get along with all other Staff, I have made a few good friends here and even have my work family and that goes back to what I said about Miller Metcalfe being the people.
Are you happy working here? Are you happy with your recent work? Why or why not?
I am very happy where I work as I feel that I can have my say which is listened to.
What keeps you engaged with your daily work?
Competitiveness and the will to do my best.
What kind of projects do you enjoy working on?
What motivates you to work on a project. Again Competitiveness drives me and I am quite artistic so I like to go that extra step.
