Club links; Youth training opportunities
Welcome to our new recruit
- In June 2009 a unique link was forged with the club. Miller Metcalfe were looking to recruit a new member of staff for their sales and marketing team, a young enthusiastic team player with good IT skills.
- In conjunction with project leaders at BLGC and their Pathways 2 Success programme, the role was promoted during youth club sessions.
- Young people took part in mock interviews with the final candidates sent to Miller Metcalfe. The standard was high.
- The company were especially impressed with 18 year old Darryl Hosker, a member of BLGC for over 7 years and now a proud member of the Miller Metcalfe team.
- Darryl began his first full-time job with us as Sales and Marketing Trainee in August 2009.
Sponsored Events; Bolton Beer Festival
- Each year, 100% of the money raised by the Bolton Beer Festival goes towards supporting a local cause – Bolton lads and Girls Club.
- As a patron of the club, in October 2009 Miller Metcalfe sponsored a beer at the festival and commits to being involved with the event year on year.
LEAP
- Miller Metcalfe are proud to support the Leap Project. A collaborative book project between BLGC and the University of Bolton.
- Leap aims to help the young people of today become happy, caring and responsible citizens of tomorrow.
- All profits from the 80 page publication will help the next generation of young people to make that personal leap.
Ladies Lunch; Marriot Hotel
- Miller Metcalfe were the proud sponsors of Bolton Hospice’s Ladies Lunch at the Marriot Hotel.
- With a gourmet menu, champagne reception and silent auction the event raised thousands for the hospice.
- We are delighted to team up with the fire service, offering prizes to support The Fire Fighters Charity.
- Currently in liaison with the fire service, we aim to work closely to ensure all our rented property stock has been safety checked and fire alarms are fitted.
