About Miller Metcalfe - The Group

Miller Metcalfe is a progressive, independent multi-disciplined property consultancy providing a broad spectrum of services across the North-West. Specialising, rather than generalising, has been fundamental to its success and Miller Metcalfe now trades under six different divisions: Residential, Lettings, Prestige, Auction, Surveys & Valuations and Commercial.

Rich in history, with a wealth of experience, and a level of customer service second to none, Miller Metcalfe has been brought bang up-to-date with the latest technology available. Add this to a fine team of experienced staff, committed to continuous professional development and you will find us constantly exceeding expectations – as well as climbing head and shoulders above the competition.

With department heads being members of RICS or NAEA; both highly-regarded professional bodies operating within a strict code of conduct, Miller Metcalfe offers clients the complete package.

History

Miller Metcalfe can trace its origins as far back as 1891; first trading as Thomas Crompton and Son; a long-standing practice of estate agents and surveyors, with offices in Horwich and Wood Street, Bolton, before a name change to Aubrey, Lee and Miller, and new offices in Bolton, Bury and Whitefield. In the early 1970s, two gentlemen, Mr Stanley Miller and Mr Colin Metcalfe came on board, after which the company changed its name to Miller Metcalfe Thompson.

A merger with Carlton Kirkpatrick and Co. in the mid-1980s (with offices in Bolton, Rochdale and Norden) saw Miller Metcalfe Kirkpatrick born, from which the latter name was dropped in 2005, and the current management team was assembled in late 2009.

In addition to the satellite offices listed below, the company has traded from its 56 Bradshawgate location in Bolton for many years now and currently houses the main Residential and Lettings teams. The other departments are rightly proud of their new abode at 1 Merchant’s Place, River Street, Bolton.

Customer Service

Miller Metcalfe prides itself on delivering a superlative service and achieving outstanding results. Our Customer Service department benchmarks client feedback to establish what our clients really thought of the service we provided to them. In the year to December 2011, we have either met or exceeded 95 per cent of our clients’ expectations on property completions exceeding over £70 million in value. In addition to this, 98% of our clients would recommend us to either their family or friends! In 2012, this will be externally audited so we can publish these results independently to confirm positive feedback and validation of our vendors.

We put customer service and commitment to clients at the heart of what we do. We strive to get it right first time every time. Occasionally, things don’t go as planned. We really want to give only the best levels of service to all our clients, and we really appreciate feedback, so if you have a complaint or a compliment about our service - or indeed any aspect of the Miller Metcalfe business or the team, please click here to email John Fletcher our Chairman and CEO.
